About...
This tutorial shows you how to make it so when you re-spawn in game you start off with a different weapon. This adds a new game play element to Halo CE Maps. This would be good for making interesting slayer matches. This is also good for the power weapons placed in maps like rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and fuel rod guns.
--------------------------

First, start by deciding what weapons you would like for people to be switching between. However realize the permutations are random so sometimes you will get the same weapon twice in a row.

Next open up guerilla and go File > New > Item Collection tag

Now lets save this first. File > Save As. When the window comes up navigate to the item collections folder. Go into the item collections folder. Now go into the single weapons folder, name the file and save it. I am going to call mine Pistol_PP since i will be making a plasma pistol and pistol permutation.the file and save it.

Ok it's all saved.

Now on the item_collection tag see where it says "Item Permutations" and then a little over there is a button called "add". Click that twice. Now you have two item_permutations, however we are not done yet. For both of the permutations give them a weight of 100 and set spawn time of 10.

For the first drop down box next to item, change that to "weapon" for both permutation. Now click the ... button and navigate back to tags/weapons. Go into the weapons folder. Now go to pistol folder and click on the pistol.weapon and click open. How go to the other permutation and go to the plasma pistol folder and open the plasma pistol.weapon. So again you had to click the ... button to be able to open the plamsa pistol.weapon tag.

Now just save your changes to the tag. I just hit the x button and then save changes when the prompt comes up.

Now you can go into your level .scenario and set it as starting equipment or go into sapien and place this item collection under netgame equipment.

Note you would need to re-build the cache file of your map to test in game.

Just use the knowledge gained in this tutorial to make other sets of item permutations. Note you can do more then just two, but I don't know if there is a limit to how many you can have.

I hope this helped.
